At 176-years-old, one of Hamilton s oldest homes has a new owner
That the 176 year old wood frame house is still standing in the downtown core is remarkable. It has the original fireplace, a beautiful hand carved entranceway, and the carpentry tools of the original owners tucked away in the attic.

THE Revenge of King Jab Jab – Play Mas with Shakespeare, produced by Louris Lee-Sing, is a socio-political satire that stars Carnival characters as the main protagonists.
King Jab Jab and his minions – Jab Molassie, Midnight Robber, Pierrot Grenade, Jamette and Sweeper – are plotting world domination through populism and worldwide dictatorship, part of which includes destroying women’s rights.
However, Baby Doll has heard about the fiendish plans to install dictatorship and to destroy democracy being hatched by the devils and other Carnival characters. And she is angry.

AUDITIONS are open for the 2021 cohort of the Girl Be Heard TT (GBHTT) girls empowerment programme. The audition will take place virtually this year, with the deadline for submissions being March 5.
Girl Be Heard TT is an offshoot of the Girl Be Heard (GBH) programme which began in New York City and has toured eight countries. The programme empowers teenage girls through theatre-making, spoken word, and song.
In October 2016, Girl Be Heard received a grant from the US State Department through the TT Embassy and the Oak Foundation to establish a GBH programme outside the United States. The programme was born in partnership with the 2 Cents Movement.
King Jab Jab comes to Little Carib Theatre

Not-for-profit NGO Brown Cotton Outreach’s (BCO) presentation of The Revenge of King Jab Jab promises to deliver a Carnival theatre social satire on February 6 and 7.
The NGO will partner with the Little Carib Theatre and WACK90.1 to bring the theatre to live and virtual audiences.
In the play, King Jab and his cohorts from the Land of Mamaguy play mas with the Shakespearean tradition as they replace democracy with dictatorship by devising the most dastardly and ridiculous plans to create a new and improved Hell-On-Earth.
