Evidence testing returned in McHenry Street murder case

Hopkinsville, KY, USA / WHOP 1230 AM | News Radio Mar 3, 2021 3:35 PM Evidence that had been pending in the murder case against Robert Torian, who is accused in the 2019 shooting death of Terrill Moore, has finally come in and the defense requested one more continuance before setting a trial date. Torian appeared virtually in front of Christian Circuit Judge Andrew Self Wednesday, along with defense attorney Jason Byrd, who informed the court that he has received the last of the evidence that had been sent off for testing now he just needs to time to go over it with his client and decide his plan of action.

Evidence still pending in McHenry Street murder case

Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Jerad Smith had no objection to a pretrial hearing being set, saying that all evidence testing has been significantly slowed in recent times, so Judge Andrew Self set the next hearing for January 27, when he is hopeful this case will finally be able to move forward. The original arrest warrant from Hopkinsville police says Torian and Moore had been in an argument while both were passengers in a vehicle on McHenry Street in August of 2019. Torian was in the back seat when he exited, opened the front passenger door and allegedly shot Moore in the head.
