De Pueblo, Católico y Gay : Queer Latino podcast fights LGBTQ stigma

Phillip Zonkel Q Voice News The Spanish podcast “De Pueblo, Católico y Gay” explores the intersection of LGBTQ, Latino, and Catholic identities. It’s a platform for uncomfortable conversations that can lead to understanding, unity, and healing. Eder Díaz Santillan, who was known as KLOVE (107.5 FM) personality “Gorritas,” is the host-creator-producer of the 30-minute podcast. New episodes are posted every Monday. “Most of the interviews I post explore those three parts of an individual’s journey: The discovery of your sexual and gender identity, learning the language to self-identify with, and the family aspect you grew up in and how it affected, if it did,” says Díaz Santillan, 35, who also is a part-time lecturer at Cal State Northridge’s Spanish journalism program.

NFL draft: Instant-impact rookies include Najee Harris, Kyle Pitts

Kyle Pitts, TE, Falcons – (No. 4 pick, first round) A tight end has never won the Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year award, but Pitts who set the mark for the earliest a player at the position has been selected in the common draft era has a chance to end that drought. First-year GM Terry Fontenot said there was no way Atlanta was passing on the 6-6, 245-pound Mackey Award winner with its top pick, and new coach Arthur Smith should relish being able to put the mismatch creator alongside Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley and Hayden Hurst. Even though there are only so many Matt Ryan passes to go around, Pitts is in line for a good number of looks, especially in the red zone.

The investigation has been ongoing since early 2019. Agents arrived at Giuliani s home at 6 a.m. and seized up to eight personal electronic devices, Giuliani told Fox News April 29.

Brett Favre on Aaron Rodgers beef with Packers: Not very optimistic

Favre, in a 45-minute interview with Wilde and Tausch, said he has not spoken with Rodgers since the draft. Their conversation that night concluded with Rodgers telling his predecessor they would touch base after his situation with the Packers is resolved, something that might not happen for some time. Even though Favre emphasized he does not know the details of Rodgers rift with the Packers that became public Thursday, he predicted an ominous ending. Favre went as far as to compare Rodgers situation to Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders early retirement from the Detroit Lions. Sanders walked away from the Lions after his age-30 season in one of the most stunning retirements the sport has ever seen.

Ja Wuan James, Broncos tackle, tears Achilles, could lose $20 million

Players who opted out last season were eligible for between $150,000-$350,000. ESPN s Adam Schefter reported that James contract tolled last season, meaning he was playing under his 2020 contract this year, which had $10 million guaranteed for skill and injury, and another $10 million reserved for 2021. In total, James could be out close to $20 million.  The 19th overall pick by the Miami Dolphins in the 2014 draft, James started 16 games in his first and third seasons in the league and 15 games in 2018. Injuries have cost him significant playing time in every other season, however.  Since signing a four-year, $51 million contract with Denver prior to the 2019 season, James has played three games at right tackle for the Broncos.
