Officials on Tuesday identified two drivers who were killed in a head-on collision in Fairview last week.
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said that 19-year-old Brandon Cortes-Cayetano, of Portland, and 25-year-old Robert Dean Clawson, of Vancouver, were both killed in the Dec. 14 crash.
Around 7 a.m., deputies responded to reports of the crash near the intersection of Northeast Glisan Street and West Ponds Drive, officials said.
They discovered a Volkswagen Jetta and a Subaru Impreza both heavily damaged. Investigators believe the two victims were traveling opposite directions on Glisan Street when Cortes-Cayetano, in the Volkswagen, crossed the centerline for unknown reasons.
