The gay former Sebastopol mayor who was arrested on charges of sexual assault of a minor is now free on $620,00 bail following a hearing April 15, when the Sonoma County District Attorney s office added four additional counts to the initial charges.
Robert Jacob, 44, is represented by attorney Chris Adrian, who did not return the Bay Area Reporter s phone call at press time.
Jacob is expected to enter a plea at his next hearing May 6, according to the Sonoma County Superior Court website.
According to the DA s office, Jacob now faces three counts of lewd and lascivious acts with underage persons and one count of procurement of a child. Those are in addition to the original three counts of lewd and lascivious acts with underage persons; one count of contact with a minor with the intent of having sexual contact; one count of distribution of pornography; one count of sexual penetration with an object; and one count of procuring a child under 16.

Sebastopol Police booked 44-year-old Robert Emmanuel Jacob on 11 felony counts related to sex crimes against minors.
The court records for Robert Emmanuel Jacob list one count for sexual penetration with a child under 16 years-old, five counts of lewd acts with a child age 14 or 15 being 10 or more years older than the minor and two counts of coming into the possession of a child younger than 16 for lewd or lascivious acts.

The former mayor of Sebastopol, California, who has praised Black Lives Matter efforts to defund police, has been arrested on sexual assault charges involving a minor.
Robert Jacob was arrested on April 10 and was sent to the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Center, where he was held without bail.

Former Sebastopol mayor Robert Jacob, arrested over the weeked on suspicion of sexual assault of a minor, appeared for the first time in court Tuesday following his arrest. Jacob did not enter a plea at his initial hearing and remained jailed at the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility is being held without bail. His next court appearance was scheduled for Thursday afternoon.

A former Democratic mayor has been charged with nearly a dozen felonies relating to sexually assaulting minors, Fox News reported.
Robert Jacob, the former mayor of Sebastopol, California, and a cannabis business owner was arrested by police April 10, a Sebastopol Police Department statement read. Initially, police arrested Jacob on five felonies and one misdemeanor sexual assault charge against a minor, as the statement noted. However, the number of felony charges was increased to 11 Tuesday when Jacob appeared in front of the Sonoma County Superior Court, according to Fox News.
