CANAAN The David M. Hunt Library in Falls Village will open BOOK MARKS, its first large group art exhibition in over a year with an outdoor reception on July 24.
The exhibition features an outdoor installation by Zoe and Sergei Fedorjaczenko, imagining books as the fruit of trees, and an indoor display of artwork by 22 artists including Barbara Page, Robert Cronin, Amanda Thackray, Robert Andrew Parker, Tilly Strauss, and Danielle Mailer.
There is also an original work by the late Eric Carle, the the children’s book illustrator, on loan from a private collection.

TWO brothers have been fined for breaches of the licencing laws after a large crowd was found in a County Limerick pub more than an hour after closing time.
Wayne Cronin (50) and Robert Cronin (46) were prosecuted in relation to an incident at Cronin s Bar, the Square, Newcastle West on October 7, 2019.
Inspector Liam McGraynor told Judge Patrick Durcan when gardai called to the premises at 12.10am, they observed more than than 50 people who were drinking and socialising.
He said alcohol was being actively served and that a DJ was still playing music.
Atlantic Union College in Lancaster has found a buyer for its campus three years after the school officially closed permanently.
The site is under agreement, with a deal planned to close in September, Robert Cronin, an agent with the real estate firm Colliers International, said Thursday.
The news of the pending deal, first reported by the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, came as the sale of portions of the campus closed with the Worcester Registry of Deeds. Those sales, which totaled roughly $1.2 million, include multi-tenant residential buildings on campus and a home on Main Street about two blocks south of campus. The deed was signed Thursday.
