There was ‘negligible’ impact on running of trains: Railways.
Protesting farmers sat on railway tracks at hundreds of locations, and stopped some trains during a four-hour ‘rail roko’ agitation on Thursday. The Railways said there was a “negligible” impact on the running of trains across the country.
For a few passengers on trains stopped by the agitation, the ‘rail roko’ involved showering of flower petals and jaggery and distribution of milk by protesting farmers. In other locations, tractors were brought onto the tracks.

JAMMU, Feb 15: The Congress party today held a protest demonstration at Talab Tillo here against the Government for the continuing incessant hike in fuel prices all over India.
The protest was organized and led by Sanjeev Sharma, secretary PCC in-charge Block No. 4, and Corporator Ward No. 30, Sonika Sharma.
Prominent senior Congress leaders who participated in the protest were former minister Raman Bhalla (Vice president JKPCC), former minister Yogesh Sawhney, general secretary JKPCC & Incharge District president Jammu (U), Th Manmohan Singh, general secretary PCC, Rajnish Sharma, Co-Treasurer JKPCC, Rajvir Singh and Dr Ramakant Khajuria.

A Delhi police sub-inspector on Friday, allegedly committed suicide inside a CATS ambulance as per reports. The 39-year-old SI Rajveer Singh, was apparently found hanging with a piece of cloth in the CATS ambulance which was taking him to IHBAS hospital for admission.
The incident occured near Delhi s Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital on Friday. The ambulance was on the way to IHBAS hospital when the incident took place, police said.
As per the police account, SI Rajveer Singh was posted in the district lines at Southeast district. On Friday, he had called a CATS ambulance from his home in Dwarka.

The Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait said on Sunday that farmers would not let “grains become products to be stored in the treasury”. “

After the Republic Day tractor parade violence, the agitation seemed as good as over with cases filed against farmer leaders and several protest sites, like the one at Chilla border and another on the Delhi-Agra highway in Palwal, folding up. Tikait is seen to have almost single-handedly turned the course with his combativeness, becoming a talking point much beyond his sphere of influence, in villages of Haryana and Punjab.
On Thursday, when police staged a flag march and the Ghaziabad administration served the eviction notice to him, Tikait himself had seemed demoralised. The mood at UP Gate was one of defeat and dejection as police prepared to clear the site. The tide began turning after Tikait grabbed the mike when administration officials came to speak to him and gave an emotionally charged speech. “I will commit suicide.
