KOLKATA: The Calcutta high court on Thursday adjourned till Friday hearing in the Narada sting tape case, in which two senior West Bengal ministers, an MLA and a former Kolkata mayor were arrested by the CBI.
All the four accused - ministers Subrata Mukherjee and Firhad Hakim, Trinamool Congress MLA Madan Mitra and former mayor Sovan Chatterjee - are currently under house arrest as per the high court s order.
A five-judge bench said that on Friday, it will first hear the recall applications by the four on the stay granted by a division bench on bail to them.
It will then hear the CBI s prayer for transfer of the case to itself alleging mob pressure on the Special CBI court that granted bail to the four politicians on May 17, hours after their arrest.
