NEW DELHI: Dassault, the manufacturer of Rafale fighter aircraft, has rejected the claim of a French media portal that the company, along with its affiliates, paid several million euros to an alleged Indian middleman in order to bag the deal for 36 fighter jets.
In a statement here on Thursday, Dassault said the deal went through numerous checks, including by the French anti-corruption agency, and no violations were detected, adding that the company had implemented strict internal procedures to prevent corruption for the last two decades.
“Numerous controls are carried out by official organisations, including the French anti-corruption agency. No violations were reported, notably in the frame of the contract with India for the acquisition of 36 Rafales (in 2016),” a Dassault spokesperson said.

NEW DELHI: Sushen Mohan Gupta, who is currently in the limelight for allegedly receiving one million euros from Dassault Aviation for Rafale fighter planes purchased by BJP government, had transferred money thrice into the account of the daughter of his employee, Lt Gen Balraj Singh Takhar (retd), as per the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) charge sheet in the Rs 3, 600 crore VVIP AgustaWestland chopper case of Congress Government.
The revelations against Gupta, who is one of the alleged middlemen in the case, were made in Takhar s statement, which is part of 12, 421-page charge sheet filed in a Delhi court in October last year by the CBI, which has been viewed by IANS.

Defsys Solutions Pvt Ltd, which has been named as the recipient of 1 million euros (Rs 8.62 crore) from Dassault Aviation of France in connection with the Rafale deal, is a company based in Hoskote, Karnataka, and was set up in January 2007.
The company, owned by defence middleman Sushen Mohan Gupta, has a paid-up capital of Rs 6.95 crore and is “involved in research and experimental development on natural sciences and engineering”.
“This class includes systematic creative work in the fields of research and development in natural sciences, medical sciences, agriculture and engineering and technology,” says Zauba Corp, a provider of commercial information and insights on businesses in India.
