(File photo) NEW DELHI: Scaling up preparations to tackle the rising cases of black fungus, Delhi government has decided to open centres for the treatment of black fungus at Lok Nayak Hospital, GTB Hospital and Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital. It will also prepare a detailed plan and issue special standard operating procedure on how to raise awareness among Covid-recovered people for prevention of the disease. Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday convened a high-level meeting to tackle the rising cases of black fungus in the capital where the decisions were taken. It was also decided that the government will also ensure adequate management of medicines used in black fungus treatment and take all measures to spread awareness among people about disease prevention measures.

Actor-YouTuber Rahul Vohra dies despite seeking better Covid treatment from PM on Facebook

Actor-YouTuber Rahul Vohra died on Sunday at a hospital here due to Covid-19 complications, theatre director-playwright Arvind Gaur confirmed.  Vohra, 35, had shared his coronavirus diagnosis earlier this week in a Facebook post. He was admitted at the Rajeev Gandhi Super Speciality hospital, Tahirpur, and was shifted to Ayushman Hospital, Dwarka, on Saturday evening. Gaur confirmed the news of Vohra’s demise on Facebook. “Rahul Vohra is gone, my talented actor is no more. It was only yesterday that he told me his life could have been saved if he got better treatment. He was shifted to Ayushman, Dwarka last evening but we could not save him. Please forgive us, we are all your culprits. My last respects,” he wrote.
