HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday made a surprise visit to Gandhi Hospital for the first time along with finance minister T Harish Rao, in order to boost the morale of doctors, staff and Covid patients there.
The Chief Minister spent nearly an hour at the hospital, which was converted as a full-time Covid treatment centre, went around the wards, interacted with patients, doctors, nurses and examined the treatment and facilities provided to Covid patients.

Hyderabad: A 110-year-old man has recovered from COVID-19 at a hospital here, thus becoming probably one of the oldest patients in the country to recover from the dreaded virus, doctors said on Wednesday.
Ramananda Teertha was admitted to the government-run Gandhi Hospital here on April 24 with mild COVID-19 symptoms and low saturation levels.
Gandhi Hospital superintendent Raja Rao said that Teertha has now recovered from COVID-19 and his saturation levels have also improved to 97.
According to the doctors, Teertha has now tested negative for COVID-19 but he will remain under observation at the general ward of the hospital for a few more days.

Hyderabad: The City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar today said that there was no permission for the entry of the attendants of Covid 19 patients in Gandhi Hospitals. He made these remarks after launching a corona helpline number at the Gandhi Hospitals along with the superintendent of the hospital Dr. Raja Rao.
Speaking on the occasion the CP urged the family members of the patients to find out the status of their near and dear ones by using the helpline number. He said that the help line Center would provide all kinds of information to the relatives of the Covid Patients.
