HARIPUR: At least five persons were injured, three of them critically, in two road accidents in Khanpur tehsil here on Saturday. The police and rescue sources said a jeep on its way to Khanpur from Muslimabad area plunged into a gorge near the Beesbun village, injuring three passengers, including the driver. They were shifted to the Khanpur Tehsil Headquarters Hospital. The injured were identified as Mehrban, Haqnawaz and Raja Ansar. The second accident was reported on Khanpur-Taxila Road when a recklessly-driven motorcycle collided with a rickshaw near Tofkiyan village. Malik Arsalan, the bike rider, and Tahir, a passenger from the rickshaw, were injured.
