Rakesh Dubey, KAS officer was the chief guest of the event who inaugurated the championship, whereas Nuzhat Gul, Secretary J&K Sports Council was the guest of honour and Dr Zafar Iqbal was the special guest on the occasion. Rashid Ahmed, convener Ad-hoc Committee briefed the dignitaries about the game of fencing and its growing popularity among the general masses and expressed his gratitude to the Council for granting State Centre of Excellence of Fencing at MA Stadium, here.
