A special performance was also delivered this year commemorating the 50 years of India s victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war. As many as 15 Military bands and 15 Pipes and Drums bands from regimental centres and battalions participated in the Beating Retreat ceremony, which is held every year on January 29 at Vijay Chowk in New Delhi.
