2020 started with such hope, such promise, such excitement.
Only a few months prior I had decided to make my passion for music a priority. Besides my job as an educator, I began writing and performing my own songs, building a social media presence to share my music and was in the midst of recording and creating my first EP of roots/folk originals. I was travelling to perform. Then COVID-19 moved into our borders.
Within the course of a few weeks our world became as small as the walls we live in and our social group was the people living in our homes. As a parent with shared custody, half my time was spent alone for most of the spring.
