In an interview on Friday, Sua Flamingoes Public Relations Officer (PRO) Lazarus Mafa said the club is confident of causing upset and leave no stone unturned during its premier league stay. Gumbo replaces the late Bright at Sua | The Patriot On Sunday

Soccer24 Rahman Gumbo has returned to the Botswana Premier League following his appointment as the head coach of Sua Flamingos. The Zimbabwean, who was previously in the books of former ZPSL side TelOne, is replacing David Bright who died in January. The team gained promotion into the top-flight last season. In a statement released on Friday, Flamingos said: “Sua Flamingos FC wishes to announce the appointment of Rahman Gumbo to the position of head coach on a two-year contract. “On behalf of all stakeholders, we welcome and wish him a pleasant stay”. Gumbo has coached a couple of teams in the Botswana Premier League including Township Rollers, Gaborone United and Mochudi Centre Chiefs. The position was previously held by veteran coach David Bright who passed on due to Covid-19 related illness early this year.

By Sports Reporter ZIMBABWE football legend and former Zimbabwe Warriors coach Rahman Gumbo is set to make a return to the Botswana Premier League after being confirmed as new head coach of newly promoted Sua Flamingoes on Friday. Flamingoes were declared First Division North League champions after last year’s decision by Botswana Football Association to end the game abruptly because of the Covid-19 pandemic. In a statement Friday, Flamingos said: “Sua Flamingos FC wishes to announce the appointment of Rahman Gumbo to the position of head coach on a two-year contract. “On behalf of all stakeholders, we welcome and wish him a pleasant stay.”
