Richland Fire Chief Brandon Weems is in fair condition after he had been missing for more than a day.Weems was found Wednesday evening after a search involving multiple law enforcement and fire agencies. Prior to that, Weems was last heard from about 10 a.m. Tuesday, Richland Police Chief Russel James said. Witnesses said Weems was found in the attic of his home near Florence. This was made possible thanks to the response of local and state first responders as well as community support, said officials with the Rankin Sheriff s Office. The Rankin County Sheriff’s Office wants to thank all of the agencies and individuals that contributed to the safe return of Chief Weems. During a news briefing Thursday, James thanked the community for their support. The last couple of days have been very trying, James said. Richland Police Department officials released few additional details in the disappearance of Richland Fire Chief Brandon Weems, but suggested he may be on medical leave following the incident.
Officials would not give details about the circumstance of the disappearance including where Weems was found, if he had been there the whole time, whether he was hospitalized Thursday and if he would be on leave. When Weems was found, he was suffering from dehydration, according to Richland police spokesperson Allison Clark.
Richland Mayor Pat Sullivan said it s too early to know if Weems will be placed on leave, adding that they are giving the family space to adjust to everything that happened.

Add Peterson to the list of people linked to Pelosi-related wrongdoing. According to the FBI, a tipster told them that the defendant’s mother had posted on Facebook that Peterson stormed the Capitol Building and “sat in Pelosi’s chair.”
Pictures cited by the FBI showed the defendant, his mother, and a woman with the same last name as them in what the tipster called the “protest area” outside in D.C. Authorities did not describe any evidence placing the women in the Capitol Building. No charges against them have been reported.
