Seven’s commentary line-up is led by Bruce McAvaney with Anna Meares, Nick Green, Giaan Rooney, Scott McGrory, Russell Mark, Debbie Watson and Kerri Pottharst, along with Andrew Gaze, Rachael Sporn, Tamsyn Lewis-Manou and David Culbert, and Candice Warner. “I am really excited to be joining the Seven commentary team for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games,” he said. “There is no doubt these Games are going to be our most unique to date, and I’m looking forward to working alongside Giaan Rooney, Basil Zempilas, Nathan Templeton and the rest of the team to bring viewers all the action from Tokyo – and to cheer home our athletes.”

Tokyo 2020, delayed by one year due to the pandemic, comes with just a 1 hour time difference to AEST meaning events will be seen from Sunrise to evening. Johnna Griggs &  Luke Darcy anchor Mornings coverage with Hamish McLachlan & Abbey Gelmi in primetime (expected to be from Melbourne studio). Mel McLaughlin, Mark Beretta, Jason Richardson and Nathan Templeton will be in Tokyo. Late nights will be Tokyo Shinya co-hosted by Andy Maher & Lisa Sthalekar.
