Maranaâs Gladden Farms community is about to get a little cozier after Meritage Homes recently announced theyâre opening a new development aimed at first-time homebuyers in May.Â
Located near Interstate 10, Brookstone at Gladden Farms is Meritage Homesâs newest development in the Marana area. The community is expected to have 81 new homes in five different floor plans, including both single-story and two-story, energy-efficient home designs. Floor plans range up to 2,920 square feet and start around the low $300s.Â
Meritage Homes has designed an entry-level line of homes that include many features standard in upscale homes such as kitchen islands, home automation features and granite countertops, as well as upgraded cabinets, laundry rooms and appliances.Â

SOLVE, Portland Business Alliance, and Portland Lodging Alliance, with the support of Harsch Investment Properties, held a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service with volunteer litter cleanup projects throughout Portland.
Nearly 400 volunteers attended the cleanup event and collected more than 4,300 pounds of litter and debris from city sidewalks, parks, and business fronts.
This Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service was in conjunction with SOLVE’s Downtown Monthly Portland Volunteer Litter Cleanup Days. Since they began in September, more than 1,500 volunteers have removed over 17,000 pounds of litter.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service event kicked off from four different locations throughout Portland including Providence Park, The Benson Hotel, Northwest Academy, and Urbanite, located on Southeast Martin Luther King Boulevard. By hosting multiple locations, SOLVE was able to safely accommodate a higher number of volunteers for the cleanup effort.
