It’s a reminder to employees that hybrid work is here to stay, that remote workers no longer are just dial-in observers with an occasional something to say, but now are intrinsic and essential to everyday operations.
“We believe the future of work is hybrid. We’re changing everything about how we learn, how we work,” said Kirsten Marriner, chief people and corporate affairs officer.
Marriner is acting as tour guide to show off the redesigned interior of the consumer product company’s main office in downtown Oakland.

CLEVELAND, Ohio NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt has brought its show to Cleveland to highlight our region s resurgence after the pandemic.
And as part of the live broadcast, 3News Anchor Russ Mitchell got an inside look at a local manufacturing facility, producing one of the most coveted products during the pandemic.
The facility is GoJo Industries, which has locations in Akron, Cuyahoga Heights, Maple Heights and Wooster, where we visited earlier this month.

The administration also laid out a plan for strategic homebuilding in the city, which includes a demolition program and one to increase home ownership in city residents. The city also says it plans to rehabilitate existing vacant homes to make them livable. It will also work with lenders on affordable options for residents to live in these homes.
Another topic that was discussed was options to boost small business owners in the city by expanding outreach to those who have been negatively impacted by the pandemic. The city also said it would invest in revitalizing storefronts in the downtown area and remediate existing buildings to develop property.

Bill Whitaker proceeded to relay, without any competing voices, the anti-Christian Right enmity of former moderate, at best, Missouri Republican Senator Jack Danforth who is on a crusade to rid the Republican Party of the influence of Christian conservatives. Whitaker began with a clip of Danforth declaring: I am concerned about the Republican Party becoming, in essence, the party of the Christian conservatives. Whitaker then bucked-up Danforth s authority: This is no Republican-basher speaking.
