LOS ANGELES - The Russian Dolls on the fifth season of The Masked Singer, have maybe been the most difficult contestant to guess in the entire series, mostly because no one has been able to tell exactly how many singers are inside the costume.
The show’s panelists have offered an array of guesses from music duo Avil Lavigne & Chad Kroeger to members of the R&B vocal group, 98 Degrees.
I would never enter a singing competition as [myself], the unmasked musician says.
While Black Swan, Piglet, Yeti, and Chameleon are moving on, the Russian Dolls were eliminated. And in those costumes were none other than Isaac, Taylor, and Zac Hanson. And while there was a fourth Doll on stage at times, it wasnât their fourth brother, Mac. The only ones ever on the stage were Hanson and dancers.
TV Insider spoke with the brothers about doingÂ
The Masked Singer, the panelistsâ guesses (they sat down in the extra-large doll during Ken Jeongâs), and more.

The Russian Dolls made Masked Singer history this season as the first band to ever compete on the show. The judging panel played dumb and guessed that it might be Sugarland, Boyz II Men, Barenaked Ladies, Savage Garden, or even Devo inside those wide-eyed wooden vessels… but surely Golden Ear-winning judge Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg recognized those beautiful brotherly harmonies from when the doll-faced former teen idols played unplugged on her MTV.
