RAVENNA, Mich. â A project developed by a high school teacher and several students passionate about honey bees has taken off, several months after the school secured a $100K federal grant.
FOX 17 first reported back in December 2020 that the school had been selected to receive a $100,000 rural tech grant from the U.S. Department of Education. Ravenna was one of just five schools across the United States selected for the grant.
Kimberly Nader said baking has been her Zen. If I m having a bad day, I just go to the kitchen, said Nader, a Ravenna resident who has opened a bakery called Kneaded Breads and Confections at 1300 Sackett Ave. in Cuyahoga Falls.
Kneaded held its grand opening last week.
Nader said she s always had a passion for baking. No matter where I ve been in my life, the ups and downs, I ve always had baking to go back to, said Nader. … It s always been something I really enjoyed.
She noted she associates baked goods with celebrations such as birthday parties. I don t know many people who get a baked good for a negative reason, said Nader, a graduate of Ravenna High School.
