Start Mumbai local trains at least for students, demands passengers association

With the state government yet to take a decision on allowing general commuters to board suburban trains in Mumbai, a commuters association has urged that at least
students should be allowed to travel by train.
Currently, only certain categories of commuters, including those providing essential services, and women, can travel by local trains in the Mumbai region in view of the coronavirus pandemic.
The demand has been made by the Kalyan-Kasara Railway Passengers Welfare Association citing operations of hotels, bars, pubs, discos in Mumbai.

Mumbai will be taken after Christmas and New Year celebrations are over.
Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, Chahal said that even though the number of new coronavirus patients in the city is decreasing day by day, the number of asymptomatic new patients is presently high.
Currently, only certain categories of persons, including those working for essential services, are allowed to travel by local trains.
