JALALABAD: A group of miscreants allegedly attacked the vehicle of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal in Jalalabad town in Fazilka district on Tuesday when he reached there during the filing of nominations by SAD candidates for local body polls. A case under attempt to murder charges was registered against 50-60 unidentified people.
SAD alleged that the moment Sukhbir’s convoy entered the administrative complex in Jalalabad, a group of miscreants started pelting it with stones while some others fired gunshots, injuring three party workers. Sukhbir alleged that “policebacked Congress goons”, led by the son of a Congress MLA, made an attempt on his life and the three SAD workers who received bullet injuries came to his rescue.

Chandigarh, Feb 2 : The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has alleged its party President Sukhbir Badal was attacked on Tuesday and claimed three party workers had been injured in the firing.
It alleged that police-backed attackers were led by brother of a Congress legislator.
The incident was reported in Jalalabad town in Fazilka district. The party demanded Chief Minister Amarinder Singh s resignation, citing complete breakdown in the law and order situation in the state.
