Officials are investigating and recovery efforts are underway.
A small jet crashed into a Tennessee lake Saturday morning and officials said the seven passengers that were on board are presumed dead.
The Cessna 501 aircraft crashed into Percy Priest Lake after departing from Smyrna Airport in Tennessee just before 11 a.m, according to the Rutherford County Fire & Rescue. It was headed to Palm Beach International Airport in Florida.
Officials released the names of the seven people who were on the plane, including Christian diet guru, Gwen Lara and her husband Joe Lara, according to WTVF. Lara is the founder of the controversial Remnant Fellowship Church located in Brentwood, Tennessee that takes a religious approach to dieting, USA Today reported.

GWEN Shamblin Lara and her family may have been en route to a MAGA-themed event in Florida when their plane crashed.
Authorities said all seven people onboard are presumed dead after the private jet went down in Tennessee on Saturday and a recovery operation is still underway.

The Federal Aviation Administration told WTVF that the plane departed from the Smyrna Rutherford County Airport just before 11am.
The Tarzan actor Joe Lara along with his wife and Christian diet guru Gwen S Lara are among the seven people who are presumed to have died in a plane crash in Tennessee. Joe Lara had played the title role of Tarzan in the television series Tarzan: The Epic Adventures, in the 1990s. According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the Cessna C501 plane was heading from nearby Smyrna Rutherford County Airport to Palm Beach International Airport.
