Oakham support worker helps Rutland Foodbank with cake sale and raffle at St John and St Anne s Published: 16:00, 24 December 2020 A support worker at a social housing charity has helped to raise £253 for the Rutland Foodbank. Vanetia Porter baked Christmas cakes, put together seasonal hampers and created gingerbread houses for raffles to take place at each of St John and St Anne’s social housing facilities – Taylor/Bonner House in Uppingham; South Street and St Anne’s Close, both in Oakham. She also organised three social distanced events for residents and served homemade mince pies, mulled wine and hot chocolate, followed by the drawing of the raffles.
