PATNA: Bihar on Sunday took a leap in providing health care facilities including telemedicine and other digital health care platforms as Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugrated the services of E-Sanjeevani, Ashwini portal, the Wonder-App and the Referral Transport Tracking system at a function organised by the state health department. Ensuring better healthcare facility to the people of the state is our prime concern and we have been working on it since came into power in the state. The technology based health services started here today will go a long way in providing good health care facilities to the people, Kumar said after stating the services.

The body of a 70-year-old man who had been participating in the farmer protest at the Kundli border point between Delhi and Haryana was found partly nibbled at by rats at a Sonipat hospital where it was kept for autopsy. The elderly person, Rajendra Saroha, had died on Wednesday at a village near the site of agitation. A post mortem examination to identify the cause of his death was scheduled for Thursday. A PTI report today said he had suffered a heart attack.

Bihar’s inaugural bird festival Kalrav launched
The inaugural edition of Kalarav (cacophony) bird festival was launched by CM Nitish Kumar at Nagi-Nakti bird sanctuary on Saturday. The fest aims at raising awareness on birds, especially migratory. Spread over 2.1 sq km area in the lap of rocky hillocks, the Nagi bird sanctuary is the winter home for more than 133 bird species every year. Nitish said the bird festival will be a treat for the ornithologists here. Kumar also inaugurated a Bird Awareness Centre (BAC) with a photo gallery on various bird species.
