Warren police said a burglary suspect made a promise he wasn’t going back to jail before he tried to run officers over.
Warren Police said when officers got to the inn to arrest a 35-year old man, who they said allegedly was apart of a burglary in Auburn Hills, where he allegedly stole a safe and a whole lot more.

“He’s responsible for these business burglaries in different cities including Warren, Frazier, Clinton Township,” said Commissioner Bill Dwyer with Warren Police.

MADISON HEIGHTS/WARREN A burglary suspect shot by Warren police in the parking lot of a motel in Madison Heights has been arraigned on a felony warrant for attempted safe-breaking linked to another alleged crime.
Investigators are also considering more possible charges after the suspect, identified as Jason David Shepard, 35, of Warren, allegedly drove at arresting officers and hit an unmarked Warren police vehicle during his arrest.

The officer-involved shooting happened around 2 a.m. at a Madison Heights hotel on Dequindre Road.
Police had been tailing the suspect after watching him steal a safe an hour earlier.
Burglary suspect in critical condition after Warren police shoot him
A 35-year-old burglary suspect was shot by Warren police after they tried to arrest him and he rammed a Warren police vehicle early Thursday morning outside a motel in Madison Heights.
The suspect was a known offender and described as a career criminal who had just been released from prison on burglary and home invasion charges.
