Two injured in four-vehicle crash in Yazoo City Share Updated: 6:47 AM CDT Apr 3, 2021 Share Updated: 6:47 AM CDT Apr 3, 2021 The Yazoo City Police Department and the Mississippi Highway Patrol are investigating a head-on crash in Yazoo County Friday night.Around 9 p.m. Friday, MHP received a dispatch of a four-vehicle crash on U.S. 49 southbound in Yazoo City. According to MHP, preliminary reports indicated a Cadillac Sedan was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when it collided with a van that was traveling southbound. The van was then struck by a Dodge Charger. A GMC Yukon tried to swerve to avoid the Cadillac but crashed instead.The driver of the Cadillac and the van were both transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The occupants of the other vehicles were not injured.This crash is under investigation.
