Yobe State Chief Judge, Justice Kashim Gomna said the state judiciary enjoys 85 percent financial autonomy and has no business going on strike.
He stated this in Damaturu on Saturday when he led judges of the High and Sharia courts to pay Sallah homage to the governor.
Director-General Press and Media Affairs to Governor, Mamman Mohammed disclosed this to newsmen in a statement made available to newsmen in Damaturu.
The Chief Judge in the state said the judicial workers joined the strike in solidarity with their colleagues across the nation.
“If state judiciary were to decide individually, here in Yobe State, there is no reason going on strike”, Justice Kashim observed.
