On May 12, 2021, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights
Monitor participated in the international conference
entitled The Anti-personal Landmine Epidemic and Virtual
Contemporary Art Exhibition of Humanitarian Disaster caused
by Anti-personal Landmines , hosted by the Global Institute
for Water, Environment and Health (GIWEH) and HOPEMAN
Consulting UK.
The event examined the current
“anti-personnel landmine epidemic” focusing on the case
of Armenia and Azerbaijan as well as other conflict and
post-conflict zones all around the world, to discuss causes
and consequences but also the good practices and possible
solutions to protect both the human beings and the
environment from landmines and their contamination.
As the relentless Israeli airstrikes and the increasing number of cases continue, the need for urgent medical care has risen significantly in the Gaza Strip. The health care system in the besieged enclave has never been more at risk of collapse until .

Geneva – The Israeli forces has killed
and maimed many Palestinians in deliberate targeting of
unprotected homes with families inside in inhumane military
operations, Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor
said.
Since the beginning of the current Israeli bombing
blitz, the Israeli forces targeted 27 families: sixteen
homes of families were bombed and destroyed with families
being inside; two civil gatherings of family members were
targeted; a man and his wife were stuck inside their car;
and a man and his son were targeted in an agricultural
land.
So far, the reported incidents have left 78
Palestinians killed, including 30 children and 22
women.

Geneva – The Israeli forces last
night destroyed full residential areas in the northern Gaza
Strip, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said. The
international community must intervene and ensure that
Israel obliges to stop its attack, which challenges the
rules of international humanitarian law.
The Israeli
Air Force, early on Friday, launched about 450 missiles on
the Gaza Strip. Most of these missiles were concentrated in
the northern area of the strip in densely populated areas.
The attack killed several civilians and wounded dozens of
others, while dozens of homes, streets and civilian
institutions were destroyed.
