A month dedicated to nurses for their hard work
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Local nurses have something new to look forward to. Yuma County Board of Supervisors honors local nurses for their hard work during the pandemic by proclaiming this May as Yuma County Nurses Month.
Nurses are often the middle-ground between doctors and patients. They are there to help patients medically, but also to comfort them through a difficult time, big or small.
The announcement was made Monday at the Board of Supervisors meeting. Yuma County Public Health Services District Director Diana Gomez also chimed in, thanking the nurses for working with numerous patients during such a scary and unpredictable time.
