Unionville seats village council

UNIONVILLE During the 45 minute Unionville Village Council November meeting, Clerk Jessica VanHove explained the Nov. 3 election results have been verified by the Tuscola County Board of Canvassers.
According to the results, Matt Prime received enough votes to be the village president. That is a two-year term that will end Nov. 19, 2022.
Prime had been serving on the council as a trustee and president pro-tempore before he moved into the president position. He replaced Ralph Rasch, who did not seek re-election.
Vickie Balzer and Jonathon Townsend received enough votes to be trustees. Those are four-year terms that will end on Nov. 19, 2024.
