Data compiled by the DGBAS showed the number of employees in the country s industrial and service sectors at the end of January rose by 15,000, or 0.18 percent, from a month earlier to about 8.17 million. The employment number at the end of January also rose by 21,000 or 0.26 percent from a year earlier, stopping a nine-month year-on-year falling streak at a time when manufacturing and hospitality businesses added new job openings, the data indicated.
