FORREST COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) - The gates opened at 5 p.m. Thursday for the first-ever Pine Belt Music Festival.
Brandon Necaise, the owner of Southern Production LLC, organized and promoted the event being held at the Forrest County Multipurpose Center through Saturday.
“I figured the Pine Belt was a great area. We got all the schools here, so why not come here and give the people great concerts,” Necaise said.
DJ T SWAN is one of the many performers over the course of the three-day festival.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - The first Pine Belt Music Festival is set to be held at the Forrest County Multipurpose Center from April 22-24.
The event is being presented by Southern Productions and will feature live music, amusement rides, a car-truck-ATV show and craft shows.
Headliners for the event include the Ying Yang Twins, Tracy Lawrence and Saliva.
The festival will kick off Thursday, April 22, and continue through Saturday night.
Amid turmoil, TikTok continued to shape the music industry.
It s been a tumultuous year for TikTok, which has continued to battle a potential ban on the app in the U.S., proposed a sale to Oracle and Walmart to fend off that threat, lost its CEO and faced emerging competitors like Triller and Instagram s Reels.
Yet amid the turmoil, 2020 has also been the platform s biggest year for music yet. This year and perhaps aided by a surge in usership amid the coronavirus pandemic TikTok continued to churn out Billboard Hot 100 hits and collaborated on in-app events with artists like The Weeknd and Miley Cyrus, all while reaching 100 million monthly active U.S. users.

Queen Bezzels says on her upcoming plans, “My goal is to create a lane for underprivileged artist and people that have a passion for the arts and music. I would love to offer services and guidance to anyone willing to listen and learn. Me and my partner would love to become the next violator Management and host several talented artist with launching their brands and promoting their artistic side. They plan to create many opportunities to local communities when we bring in these live shows and help artist create an independence so that they can help establish others and keep the money that is greatly made from the music without the bigger labels taking advantage of these under compensated artist.”
