Airplane stolen from Cottonwood Airport on New Year s Eve Cottonwood Police Department and last updated 2021-01-06 12:33:25-05 COTTONWOOD, AZ — Police are searching for a stolen airplane from the Cottonwood Airport in Yavapai County. Just before midnight on New Year s Eve, Cottonwood police say the suspects were able to gain entry into the airport by disabling and forcing the main gate open. The suspects then entered the airport and stole a box trailer which contained an airplane. They also stole airplane parts while inside. The total loss is estimated between $70,000 - $80,000. Anybody with information is asked to contact Cottonwood Police Department at (928) 649-1397. KAFF News Investigators Looking Into The Discovery Of Possible Human Remains Found Near Prescott Investigators are looking into the discovery of possible human remains found in a remote area near Prescott Saturday. Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies were called to an area off Contreras Road, North of Iron Springs Road about the discovery. Then additional remains were found Sunday in the Camp Wood area off Williamson Valley, northwest of Prescott. Preliminary evidence indicates are associated with the remains found Saturday. Yavapai County Medical Examiner’s say evidence shows the remains are from a medical institution intended for use in the educational and research field. Also, detectives have found what are commonly known as ‘puppy pads’ at both sites along with gauze like material. These pads are also used in hospital settings for patients who are incontinent. KAFF News Man Seen Approaching A House In Prescott Valley, Could Be Linked With Canvassing Case A man was caught on a “Ring” doorbell camera in Prescott Valley that may be the suspect wanted in connection with suspicious activity recently in the North Squaw Drive area. A Yavapai County deputy was called to the 29-hundred block of Kings Highway East Monday afternoon at around 4 p.m. The resident said an unknown man approached the front door of their house Sunday night at around 10:15 p.m. then turned around and left. Earlier in the day, the resident read about the search for a suspect in Prescott Valley who was canvassing homes and called police. The man is likely in his 20s and is skinny with longer curly hair, with a shorter beard and mustache. He was wearing a long-sleeve sweatshirt, hat and jeans. KAFF News Arrest Made In Connection With The Shooting At A YCSO Deputies Home Last Week A man has been arrested in connection with an incident where shots were fired into a law enforcement officer’s home in Prescott Valley last week. Deputies were called to the home in the 83-hundred block of East Loos Drive at 2:25 a.m. on December 3rd, after a person fired multiple rounds into the home, with one of the rounds passing right over the head of a sleeping four-year-old, nearly striking the child. The home belongs to a Yavapai County Sheriff’s Deputy and his family. Fortunately no one was injured. Prescott Valley Police arrested a male subject Tuesday. He has been charged with attempted second degree murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault upon a police officer and more charges connected with the case.
