Cottonwood: In a bizarre incident reported from Arizona, some thieves broke in Cottonwood Airport and stole a plane on the New Year s Eve. The local police are looking for the thieves and the airplane.
The thieves broke into the airport just before midnight on New Year s Eve by disabling the main gate and forcing it open, the police said in a Facebook post.

COTTONWOOD, Ariz. - Police in Cottonwood are searching for answers after someone broke into their local airport and stole an airplane on New Year s Eve.
Officials say the suspect forced their way into the main gate at Cottonwood Airport and made off with a large box trailer that contained the plane.
The suspect - or suspects - also stole plane parts valued at $70,000 to $80,000.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Cottonwood PD at 928-649-1397 or Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232 or http://yavapaisw.com/. Authorities are offering up to $450 for information leading to an arrest.

Thieves broke into Cottonwood Airport in Arizona just before midnight on 31 December, disabling the main gate.
The perpetrators stole a box trailer with a light aircraft inside, along with various plane parts.
Police estimate the haul was worth between $70,000 and $80,000.
The Cottonwood Arizona Police Department put out an appeal on Facebook following the incident, writing: “The subjects entered the Airport and stole a box trailer which contained an airplane.
“These subjects also stole airplane parts while inside. The total loss is estimated between $70,000-$80,000.

Just before midnight on New Year s Eve, Cottonwood police say the suspects were able to gain entry into the airport by disabling and forcing the main gate open.
The suspects then entered the airport and stole a box trailer which contained an airplane. They also stole airplane parts while inside.
The total loss is estimated between $70,000 - $80,000.
