You could do just that if you decide to adopt one of five local phone boxes in the Dunfermline and West Fife area for as little as £1. BT has revealed this week that nearly 600 of its iconic red phone boxes across Scotland are up for grabs as it urges local communities to take advantage of a scheme to help transform them for the 21st century. Since 2008, a total of 482 of them across the country have been taken on by communities for just £1 each through BT’s Adopt a Kiosk programme.
