Motorists can expect small delays this week as crews will be conducting various works in Kenora and Keewatin.
Those travelling to or from Keewatin are advised that traffic is reduced to one lane on the Keewatin Channel Bridge until Thursday, May 27 to allow for bridge joint work. Traffic control is in place.
Crack sealing operations will also take place today until Sunday, May 30 in the following locations:
Main Street South – Lakeview Drive/Veterans Drive to Second Street South
McClellan Avenue – Main Street South to Matheson Street South
Veterans Drive, Lakeview Drive/Veterans Drive to Ninth Street North

It’s time for Kenora to take its collective tongue off the boots of police officers in town and hold them to a higher standard.

Last week, Kenora’s cops shot a teenager with an anti-riot gun and the town seemed to be more concerned with the headline of a story about it rather than the fact that the police used a considerable amount of force on a suspected robber. You can question authority (or journalists) all you want, but if you start having a problem with the truth then you’ve simply thrown all common sense out the window.
