QUETTA: Balochistan Home Minister Mir Zia Langau has said that complete peace and order will be ensured in the province.
“Every possible step will be taken for the protection of life and property of people,” he said while presiding over a meeting.
Also attended by Chief Secretary Mather Niaz Rana, Inspector General of Police Mohammad Tahir Rai and Additional Chief Secretary Home Arshad Majeed, the meeting reviewed the overall law and order situation in the province.
The home minister directed the top officials to take consistent steps to improve the law and order situation.
He said indiscriminate action would be taken against the law-breakers to protect the life and property of the people.
QUETTA: The Balochistan government has exempted the Pak-China Technical Vocational Institute Gwadar project from payment of stamp duty for 2014 and 2020.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the cabinet held recently with Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani in the chair.
Mr Alyani said a comprehensive strategy was being made for all sectors.
The meeting discussed various issues and took important decisions.
The cabinet condemned the terrorist attack on FC personnel on Afghan border in Zhob district and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives as a result of the attack.
The meeting expressed concern over the alleged killing of a youth in police firing on Sariab road on Wednesday night and offered condolences to his family.
UNHCR donates five fully equipped ambulances to Balochistan Government

QUETTA, 7 May 2020 – UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency donated Friday five fully equipped ambulances to the Government of Balochistan.
During a ceremony in Quetta, the Head of UNHCR’s Sub-Office in Quetta, Erwin Policar, handed over the five ambulances to the Chief Secretary of Balochistan, Mather Niaz Rana.
The Health Secretary of Balochistan, Noor ul Haq Baloch, and the Director of the Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees, Balochistan, Arbab Talib-ul-Maula, were also present on the occasion.
The ambulances will be provided to provincial health authorities, including the COVID Cell Balochistan, Emergency Service 1122, as well as the Mobile Tele-Medicine Unit.

Chief Secretary Mather Niaz Rana, the additional chief secretary home, finance secretary and other officials and leaders of the coalition parties attended a meeting presided over by the chief minister and made suggestions for resolving the issue.
