According to a press release we received from the Hamden Police Department, that is the booking photo of 59 year old Hamden resident, Donna Scirocco. She was arrested yesterday, December 15, 2020, after turning herself in at Hamden Police Headquarters. The arrest culminates a two month investigation that started on October 26, 2020.
In October, the Assistant Animal Control Officer Parris Gibbs of the Hamden Animal Control Division, along with additional team members, and animal control units from around the state, including Southbury, Cheshire, East Haven and North Haven, executed a search and seizure warrant at Scirocco s residence on Blue Hills Avenue.

HAMDEN A town woman was arrested Tuesday and charged with six counts of cruelty to animals in connection with an October search of a home on Blue Hills Avenue during which multiple animals allegedly were found, police said.
Donna Scirocco, 59, was arrested on a warrant and held in lieu of a court-ordered $5,000 bond, police said.

HAMDEN One woman was killed and a man wounded in a shooting near Pine Rock Avenue early Wednesday, police said.
The woman was found sitting in the passenger seat of a motor vehicle, while the man, who remained in critical condition as of late afternoon, was on the ground nearby, according to a release, which said police arrived at the scene around 8 a.m. and believe the two people are known to each other.
While he emphasized it is still early in the investigation, Acting Chief of Police John Sullivan said police believe only those two individuals were involved in the shooting.

HAMDEN, Conn A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing 11-year-old boy from Hamden Friday night.
According to the Alert, George Smatt went missing on Friday. He is 4 with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, grey sweatpants, and black shoes.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Police at 203-230-4000.
