Severe weather damages crops, helps drought-impacted areas

What a ride Texas weather has taken us on so far in 2021., and it’s only May. Nearly an entire week of wet weather has Texas farmers and ranchers simultaneously feeling thankful and concerned, depending on their location.
Rainfall totals ranging from less than an inch to 14 inches were reported as days of downpours, flash floods and severe storms washed across the Lone Star State.

After suffering from drought for much of the last year, the Texas Panhandle saw rainfall totals for the month running well above normal in many locations.
DEA Takes Down Major Drug Ring in the Heart of Texas
BRADY, TX – Nearly 30 people were arrested in Brady Friday morning during a drug trafficking sting operation led by the Drug Enforcement Agency.
According to KNEL, on Apr. 27, law enforcement officers with the Drug Enforcement Agency, Texas Rangers, Texas Department of Public Safety, Brady Police Department and McCulloch County Sheriff’s Office arrested the following suspects for first degree felony drug charges:

AFFIDAVIT: Robbery Suspect Threatened to Kill Judge and Officers
SAN ANGELO, TX – Last Wednesday a Mississippi man attempted to rob a man at the Icon Cinema. He then led police on a chase but after his arrest he got additional charges for threatening to kill the judge.
According to court documents, on Apr. 21 at around 5 p.m., officers with the San Angelo Police Department were dispatched to 2020 N. Bryant Blvd for the report of a subject with a weapon.
When officers arrived they were told by a man driving a 2020 Corvette C8 that someone had just tried to rob him. The driver told police that the suspect was still on scene. As officers attempted to question the suspect he drove out of the parking lot in a gray Ford F150 pickup truck at a high rate of speed and a chase ensued.
