Pretoria Callies have revealed why they turned to the likes of Doctor Khumalo and the Bafana Bafana Class of 1996.
Callies came close to qualifying for the Nedbank Cup final but for Chippa United slender 1-0 victory at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.
Prior to the semi-final encounter, the Romans were visited by Bafana legends Mark Williams, Edward Motale and Khumalo in their camp as part of Moses Malada’s bid to revive the club’s hopes of earning promotion to the top-flight football.
Speaking in an interview with
KickOff.com, the club chairman says this initiative is also about helping to empower ex-football players in the country.
