Gold Key – Guestroom Upper Midscale
The Highlights: The property pays homage to the city’s history of craft, incorporating nods to the shapes and materials of its location. Quintessential Portland motifs are on display in subtle and exaggerated ways, including plaid patterns and a semi-hidden copper medallion in guestrooms that reads either “Boston, OR” or “Portland, OR,” referencing the penny flip that gave the city its name. Guestrooms are defined by subtle curves, wood and metal, spherical light fixtures, and strategic color placement supporting the feeling of sitting safely on the edge of a nest looking over the surrounding city.
