In a press release on Tuesday, it said some areas of Freeport, Gran Couva, Moruga and Diego Martin will be affected by repairs. It said the communities served by the Freeport Water Treatment Plant are experiencing an interruption in their normal supply. This is due to electrical problems that affect field operations of the facility s supply well. Emergency repair work is under way and is expected to be completed by 6 pm on February 17.

MPs complain about lack of security Moruga/Tableland MP Michelle Benjamin. - TT Parliament As police investigate two separate incidents of attacks by criminals on UNC MPs in Chaguanas and Moruga/Tableland, the MPs say they have to resort to finding their own security and paying out of their own pockets to protect themselves and their staff. They say there is no security allowance for MPs. The latest attack came at about 8 pm on Tuesday last week, at the office of Chaguanas West MP Dinesh Rambally. He told Newsday two masked, armed men got out of a car which stopped lower down the street on Rodney Road, Chaguanas. The men then crossed the street opposite the office and tried to force themselves into a vehicle which was waiting to pick up a staff member.
