Super Junior s Kim Heechul and TWICE’s Momo Hirai have split up, their respective record labels confirmed on Thursday (Jul 8).
Label SJ and JYP Entertainment – Heechul and Momo’s agencies, respectively – issued statements confirming that the two had indeed parted ways. However, their representatives declined further comment in order to respect the artistes’ privacy.

K-pop boy band Super Junior member Kim Heechul, 37, and girl group TWICE’s Japanese member Momo (real name Momo Hirai), 24, have broken up, their agencies confirmed.
A Korean media outlet reported on July 8 that Heechul and Momo parted ways after being in a relationship for one year and six months.
“I know that Kim Heechul and Momo broke up,” an entertainment official told Maeil Business Daily.
An official told the media outlet that Heechul and Momo were busy with their activities so their relationship started to collapse. They ended their romantic relationship and returned as senior and junior in the music industry.

After a lot of speculations surrounding Twice singer Momo’s and Super Junior fame Kim Heechul relationship, reports have confirmed that the K-idol couple has broken up. The news regarding their breakup was announced by both Label SJ and JYP Entertainment in a statement to Sports Donga. They said, “We’ve checked with the artist, and it is true that they broke up. Please understand that we cannot answer the details of it as it is the artist’s private life.”

The singers management agencies responded to media queries today (July 8), after a South Korean news outlet ran a report quoting an anonymous industry source who said the couple have parted ways. From what I know, they drifted apart due to their busy schedules, so they ended their romantic relationship, and returned to being colleagues and having a senior-and-junior relationship, the source said.
Their agencies confirmed the news, adding they won t be able to give details on the stars private lives.
