Vaccinations are ramping up across the North Coast, with over 50s now eligible for the jab. More than 40,000 people across the Mid and Far North Coast have received the vaccine to date. 24,000 of those were in the Northern Rivers. Almost all of them have been the AstraZeneca vaccine, despite recent blood clot concerns. “What we’ve seen since then however is a steady continuation of people who really want to get their vaccine, they’re enthusiastic about it and are getting in touch with their local practice to make a booking,” Monika Wheeler, Executive Director Wellness at Healthy North Coast, said.
