Motorcyclist hospitalized after crash in central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) A motorcyclist was rushed into surgery after a crash in central Fresno Sunday night.
The Fresno Police Department says it happened around 7:30 PM near Olive and Eighth. Police were initially told that the man was trapped under the wreckage.
Police say the driver of the car appeared to be parked on a curb and when they tried to move, they hit the motorcyclist.
Authorities say the speed of the motorcycle was likely the cause of the crash. Good Samaritans were able to get the motorcyclist out from under the wreckage.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez remembers the life of 20-year Harris County Sheriff s Office veteran, Sgt. Bruce Watson, who died on Saturday while riding his patrol motorcycle in Pearland.
Sgt. Watson had been with the sheriff s office for 20 years. On the day of the accident, it is said Watson was headed home after serving as an escort at a funeral.
Watson leaves behind his wife, who works for the Houston Police department, three children, a new grandchild, as well as his mother.

PEARLAND, Texas (KTRK) A sergeant with the Harris County Sheriff s Office has died after he was involved in an accident while driving his patrol motorcycle in Pearland.
Sergeant Bruce Watson, 51, was fatally injured on Saturday in what Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says was a tragic accident.

Gonzalez said Watson was recently working in the watch command center for the department. The center was lit up in blue in his honor Saturday evening.
