C Z Rocket defeats Whitmore in the Count Fleet Sprint Handicap
Winning for the seventh time in eight races since being claimed for $40,000 last April, the 7-year-old City Zip gelding C Z Rocket defeated sprint champion Whitmore for the second time in a row on Saturday, taking the Grade 3, $500,000 Count Fleet Sprint Handicap by two lengths at Oaklawn in Hot Springs, Ark.
Ridden by Florent Geroux and trained by Peter Miller, C Z Rocket sped six furlongs in 1:09.62 on a fast track and paid $6 to win as the second choice in the wagering. He carried 122 pounds, one less than Whitmore, the 123-pound highweight.

(Kingsbury) – The annual Hermann Sons Food Truck Festival is adding a few twists to this year’s event. Paul Gescheidle, organizer and member of the Seguin Hermann Sons Lodge #37 says one of those added twists includes a change in venue. He says instead of hosting the event in the Hermann Sons parking lot, this year’s scholarship fundraiser will move east to Moyesway Shooting Sports in Kingsbury.
“We had to do it offsite out of city limits due to the festival restrictions with COVID. We found a place on 85 acres that does sporting clay shooting so it has ample space to do social distancing. We have two ways of doing our scholarship fundraiser there is a $125 adult shooter entry or a $100 youth shooter entry and most of the portions of that are going to go straight to our scholarship and the rest goes to the event venue for hosting the event so it’s a way for us to make some money for our scholarships without having to bre
