Abu Jafar, station officer of Pirojpur Fire Service and Civil Defense, told BSS that his (Moazzem Hossain) house was gutted in fire at the West Dumritola area under Pirojpur Sadar Upazila. The fire fighters along with their three fire extinguisher vehicles rushed to the scene and doused the flame with the help of the locals after a two-hour relentless effort, he added.
